Wrong
Number

Six rounds of social deception, dialed across a derelict apartment block. You're locked in. The only line out is a chunky retro phone — and everyone you call might be lying about who they are.

How the line works

3–6 players

You and a few friends are locked in your apartments in the same shabby block. The only way to talk to each other is by dialing rooms on a 1980s candy-bar phone — yours, theirs, ringing through the walls.

Across six mini-games you'll lie about your codename, decode a numbers-station broadcast, hunt for a hidden target, and try to figure out who's silently eavesdropping on every call. Pick up the receiver and you have one shot to read the room — or fool it.

Open the same room code in every browser, pick a host, and start. About ten minutes per match.

  1. 1

    Dial

Punch a room number into the keypad. The phone rings on the other side. They can answer, or decline you cold.

  2. 2

    Talk

If they pick up, you can text. They might lie about who they are. So might you. Hang up at any time.

  3. 3

    Deduce

Lock guesses, cast votes, pass words. Score points for reading the room — or for fooling it.

Every call is a fork: trust the line, or suspect a lie. The phone never tells you who you're really talking to. — The Manual, ed. III, §1
